Plymouth man arrested on suspicion of rape

A 20-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of rape, police say.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Gibbon Lane at about 06:25 BST. They said officers were supporting a woman after reports of a sexual assault.

Police cordons were put in place at different locations.

Officers were carrying out inquiries in the area and appealing for witnesses.
